The area
El Chaparral Golf Club is situated in the wonderful Mijas Costa municipal area in the heart of Spain's Costa del Sol and less than 20 minutes drive from Malaga Airport.
An exceptional setting: beachfront location (100 metres to the shores of the Mediterranean), easy access and unbeatable views, surrounded by hundred year-old Canary Island pines and impressive autochthonous Mediterranean woods.
Easy to get there: 25 metres from the N-340 main road. It is situated at the entrance to the "Golf Valley", a destination chosen by golfers from all over the world and with most golf courses located within a 15 Km radius. The nearest main town is the lively coastal resort of Fuengirola which has a superb beach, good shops, excellent restaurants and plenty of nightlife.
Five minutes away is the village of Cala de Mijas, and ten minutes away the town of Mijas itself: a must-visit destination for its bay views, its characteristically quaint streets and, of course, its donkey rides.
Puerto Banús is 25 kilometres away, while Ronda, Gibraltar and Granada are also within easy reach for day trips.
Likewise, the city of Málaga itself has much to offer: visit Larios Street, lined on both sides with restaurants, and the location of the Pablo Picasso Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
